CNR 1982 Kingston - A Unit Shuts Down

On a relatively warm winter day, a freight train at Kingston was having problems ...

Just after the departure of a westbound passenger train on the north, a freight arrives on the south track with the second unit shut down.

To avoid fouling the road crossing, the consist was backed into Queens.
The light power stops on the north track at the station.

The solution to the low water problem is worked out.

With the second unit now operating, the headlight is lit for the 'return to train' over the crossing.

Finally, the train is off for Belleville.
